NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Recorder, Room 415 in the City & County Building, 451 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 until 1:50 p.m. local prevailing time, or at the City Council Chambers, Room 315, City & County Building between 1:50 and 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 for Kensington Avenue (400 East to 500 East) and Roosevelt Avenue (300 East to 400 East) Job No. 102191. Bids delivered to any other location will not be accepted. Bid received after 2:00 p.m. will not be accepted. The City Recorder will publicly open Bids in the City Council Chambers, Room 315, City & County Building at or about 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time on February 12, 2014. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the City Engineer, 349 South 200 East, Suite 100. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required for each complete set. The deposit can be a cashier or company check payable to Salt Lake City Corporation. Major credit cards are also accepted. CDs will be provided at no cost. The plans and specifications can be reviewed and downloaded at the following web site: www.bidsync.com. To ensure notification of addenda is received, BIDDERS should register as a plan holder on bidsync. The construction contract will be awarded in compliance with the Section 3 clause that gives preference to low and very low income persons and the Salt Lake City's Building Improvement and Public Works Bidding Program. ATTENTION TO CONTRACTORS: On Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. a pre-bid meeting will be held at the City Engineer's office, 349 South 200 East, 6th floor conference room. Items of work are as follows: Remove and Replace flatwork and curb and gutter, reclaimed aggregate, asphalt and or concrete pavement, and excavation This is a Community Development Block Grant project and as such wage rates as specified must be paid. Payrolls must also be submitted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technical error in any Bid if deemed to be in the best interest of Salt Lake City.
