Wildlife Hazard Assessment (WHA) and Management Plan for the Vernal Regional Airport (VEL) Uintah County & the City of Vernal, Utah (Sponsor) The Vernal Regional Airport will receive sealed proposals up to the hour of 4:00 PM (MST) on the 2nd day of August at clerk auditor's office Uintah County Building, Attn: Mike Wilkins, 147 East main, Vernal, UT 84078, (435) 781-0770 ext. 362. Late proposals will not be accepted. Questions will not be accepted after July 17th. This project will consist of conducting a Wildlife Hazard Assessment, creation of a Wildlife Hazard Management Plan (WHMP), and conducting recurrent employee Wildlife Management Training located at the Vernal Regional Airport (VEL). The Wildlife Hazard Assessment must be conducted by a qualified wildlife biologist who meets the requirements in F.A.A. Advisory Circular 150/5200-36, Qualifications for Wildlife Biologists Conducting Wildlife Hazard Assessments and Training Curriculums for Airport Personnel Involved in Controlling Wildlife Hazards at Airports. The Wildlife Hazards Assessment must be conducted in accordance with F.A.A. Advisory Circular 150/5200-33B, Hazardous Wildlife Attractants On or Near Airports and the Wildlife Hazard management Manual. This Assessment (plan) must be submitted to the F.A.A. for their approval and finial project closeout will not occur until the plan is accepted. Complete sets of Proposal Documents will be available via email from the Airport Manager Kelly Harvey at: kharvey@co.uintah.ut.us. Bidders are responsible for securing any and all addenda issued.
