PUBLIC NOTICE The State Engineer has prepared the Proposed Determination for the Nibley Park Subdivision (Area 57, Book 5) in the Utah Lake and Jordan River General Adjudication (pursuant to Utah Code § 73-4). The Proposed Determination is available electronically in PDF format on the Division of Water Rights website at the following address: http://www.waterrights.utah.gov/pdbooks/NibleyParkPD. A copy will also be on file with the Clerk of the Third Judicial District Court in and for Salt Lake County. Additional copies may be obtained, upon payment of the cost of duplication, from the Division of Water Rights, 1594 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Any claimant who is dissatisfied with the Nibley Park Subdivision Proposed Determination must file a written objection with the Clerk of the Third Judicial District Court in and for Salt Lake County. Objections to the Proposed Determination must be filed within ninety (90) days from the date of notice. PUBLIC NOTICE All former workers of Wolfe Tory Medical, Inc., including on-site leased workers from Aerotek, Express Employment, Medical Professionals, and Synergy Staffing, in Salt Lake City, Utah, have recently been approved by the Department of Labor to apply for Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (RTAA) under the Trade Adjustment Assistance Reauthorization Act of 2015 according to Kevin Burt, Unemployment Insurance (UI) Program Director with the Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS). Trade Act benefits are available to workers who have been laid off totally or partially on or after June 5, 2016 through June 22, 2019. All workers threatened with total or partial separation are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance during that same time period as well. Affected workers may qualify for training, job search, and relocation allowances even if they do not qualify for Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA). Affected workers over 50 years of age may choose the RTAA program. This is a subsidy for re-employment wages that are less than the former trade affected wage. Those eligible for TRA/RTAA can also qualify for Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC) through the IRS. To receive TRA (income support payments), workers must meet the enrollment requirements or have a waiver and worked at least 26 weeks within a 52 week period and earned $30 or more a week. Inquire with the TRA Unit at the DWS UI Claims Center to obtain more specific information. For more information, please contact your nearest Department of Workforce Services Employment Center to apply for TAA benefits.
