NOTICE OF PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE Draper City General Plan Update Notice is hereby given that Draper City will hold a public open house in order to receive comments as a part of the update to the Draper City General Plan. This notice is being sent to make you aware of the following request: Application Name: Draper City General Plan Update Applicant: Draper City Location: Citywide Request: The Planning Division is currently working on an update to the Draper City General Plan. A draft of the proposed plan is now available for public review and comment. An open house is being held to solicit comments from the public. Additional public hearings for the adoption of the plan with the Planning Commission and City Council are anticipated in the fall of this year. JOINT NOTICE OF PROPOSED BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT AND PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Salt Lake City Mosquito Abatement District ("SLC Mosquito") and the Magna Mosquito Abatement District ("Magna Mosquito") intend to adjust their common boundary. The Board of Trustees of SLC Mosquito and Magna Mosquito have adopted a joint resolution indicating the intent of the Boards to adjust the common boundary between the two districts pursuant to the provisions of Utah Code Ann. § 17B-1-417. Both districts operate a Mosquito Abatement system. The affected area is that portion of Magna Mosquito located within Sections 33-36 of Township 1 North, Range 2 West, and Sections 1-5, 9-16, and 21-23 of Township 1 South, Range 2 West, Salt Lake Base & Meridian. After the boundary adjustment has been completed, the affected area will no longer be part of Magna Mosquito but will, instead, be part of SLC Mosquito and will receive Mosquito Abatement service from SLC Mosquito. The Board of Trustees of SLC Mosquito and Magna Mosquito will hold a joint public hearing on the proposed boundary adjustment at 6:00 p.m. on 21 September 2017, at the SLC Mosquito office located at 2020 North Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84116. Magna Mosquito imposes a property tax its certified property tax rate for 2017 is 0.000046. Thus, the approximate property tax collected by Magna Mosquito on an average home in the area, valued at 187,200, is $4.74. SLC Mosquito imposes a property taxits certified property tax rate for 2017 is 0.000160. Thus, the approximate property tax collected by SLC Mosquito on an average home in the area, valued at $187,200, is $16.47. Neither district charges service fees. After the boundary adjustment, the owners of property within the affected area will be subject to the payment of property taxes to SLC Mosquito. The rates and fees are subject to change over time. For more information concerning the financial and service impacts of the boundary adjustment, please call the numbers that appear at the end of this notice. The SLC Mosquito Board of Trustees and the Magna Mosquito Board of Trustees may adjust the common boundary of the two districts as described herein unless, at or before the joint SLC Mosquito and Magna Mosquito public hearing, written protests to the adjustment are filed with either or both Boards by: (A) the owners of private real property that: (1) is located within the affected area; (2) covers at least 50% of the total private land area within the affected area; and (3) is equal in assessed value to at least 50% of the assessed value of all private real property within the affected area; or (B) Registered voters residing within the affected area equal in number to at least 50% of the votes cast in the affected area for the office of Governor at the 2016 general election (the last regular general election before the filing of the protests). NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to the provisions of Utah Code Ann. § 17C-1-806, the Redevelopment Agency of West Jordan will hold a public hearing on the draft project area plan and budget for the proposed 90th & Redwood Shopping Plaza #1 Community Reinvestment Project Area to be held August 29, 2017, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as reasonably feasible and business permits, in the 1st floor community room at 8000 South Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT. The purposes of the public hearing, as required by Utah Code Ann. §§ 17C-5-104(3)(e) and 17C-5-302(2)(e), as amended, will be to: (1) allow public comment on the draft Project Area Plan and Project Area Budget; (2) allow public comment on the Project Area Plan and the Project Area Budget and whether each should be revised, approved or rejected; and (3) receive all written objections and hear all oral objections to the Project Area Plan and Project Area Budget. These property tax revenues will be used for the following: none. These property taxes will be taxes levied by the following governmental entities, and, assuming current tax rates, the taxes paid to the agency for this project area from each taxing entity will be as follows: Salt Lake County - $0, Jordan School District - $0, West Jordan City - $0, South Salt Lake Valley Mosquito Abatement District - $0, Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District - $0, South Valley Sewer District; Central Utah Water Conservancy District - $0, Salt Lake County Library - $0. All of the property taxes to be paid to the Agency for the development in the Project Area are taxes that will be generated only if the Project Area is developed. A copy of the Project Area Budget is available at the Agency offices as described below. The recipient of this notice, or other interested parties, may submit to the Agency comments concerning subject matter of the hearing before the date of the hearing. Any person objecting to the proposed Project Area Plan or Project Area Budget or contesting the regularity of any of the proceedings to adopt the Project Area Plan or Project Area Budget may appear before the board at the hearing to show cause why the Project Area Plan or Project Area Budget should not be adopted.
