INVITATION TO BID 2014 South Salt Lake Crack Seal Project The City of South Salt Lake invites responsible contractors to submit bids for the "2014 South Salt Lake Crack Seal Project." The Project is located in an area bounded on the north by 2100 South, on the south by 3900 South, on the east by I-15 (450 West) and on the west by Jordan River (1200 West). The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing ELASTOFLEX 65 as per Section 32.01.17 of the 2012 edition of the APWA Manual of Standard Specifications. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools and materials required to complete the specified work. Sealed bids will be received by the City Recorder until 2:00 p.m. on February 14, 2014, at 220 East Morris Avenue, # 200. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. on that date will not be accepted. The bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:15 pm, Friday, February 14, 2014, at the City Office 220 East Morris Avenue, City Council Chambers, 2nd floor, South Salt Lake City, Utah. On the outside of the envelope, the bidder shall write: "2014 South Salt Lake Crack Seal Project Bid", the name and address of the bidder, and the bidder's return mailing address. Bids shall be submitted on a by street price basis. A list of streets and street map may be obtained on Bidsync. Unsealed or segregated bids will not be accepted. Time is of the essence and the project must be substantially completed no later than April 30, 2014, after which penalties for delay may apply. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the City. This project is not federally funded and does not require the payment of specific wage rates. Payroll submittal will not be required.
