SANDY CITY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING NEEDS PUBLIC HEARING The CDBG Citizens Committee will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the City's community development and housing needs. The hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Sandy City Hall, Room 220, 10000 Centennial Parkway, Sandy City and will begin at 5:00 p.m. For further information, call Jared Gerber, CDBG Administrator at 568-7265 (voice/TDD). CDBG GRANTEE PERFORMANCE REPORT The City has made available for public inspection, copying, and comment on Sandy City's FY 2012-13 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Grantee Performance Report (GPR) also known as the CAPER (Consolidated Action Plan Evaluation Report). This report reviews the accomplishments and status of activities under the CDBG Program during the last program year. Public comments regrading the Grantee Performance Report should be submitted to Jared Gerber, CDBG Administrator, 10000 Centennial Parkway, Sandy, Utah 84070 no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 20, 2013. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GRANTS NOW AVAILABLE In July 2014, it is expected that Sandy City will receive approximately $350,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These monies may be used for housing projects, street improvements, parks, community revitalization, public service, and neighborhood facilities. Sandy City is accepting proposals for FY 2014-15 CDBG funds now through December 6, 2013. You may pick up a proposal form for the CDBG projects online or at the following location: Sandy City Hall, Community Development Department, Room 210, 10000 Centennial Parkway, Sandy, Utah 84070.
