NOTICE INVITING BIDS RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be received at the office of General Manager of the Central Utah Water Conservancy District, (the "OWNER" of the work), 355 West University Parkway, Orem, Utah 84058, until 11:00 AM MDT on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, for furnishing materials, labor, and performing all work for construction of the "Wasatch County Water Efficiency Project - Wasatch Canal Lining - Coyote Lane to Valley Hills Reach" for the Central Utah Water Conservancy District. The award, if made, will be within thirty (30) days after the opening of bids. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The construction work, in general, consists of furnishing and installing the "Wasatch County Water Efficiency Project - Wasatch Canal Lining - Coyote Lane to Valley Hills Reach" consisting of lining 4,660 lineal feet of existing canal with cast-in-place, 4,000-psi concrete. The lining will require excavation in the canal and has a finished width of 10 feet, 3.5 feet deep, with 8-inch thick reinforced walls and floor. Two concrete-lined ingress/egress ramps will be constructed, existing canal structures will be modified and new concrete lining connected to them, two existing turnout structures will be removed and installed in the walls of the new concrete lining, the access along the canal will be improved by removing trees and other vegetation, and an access will be constructed along the downhill side of the canal. SITE OF WORK: The work is located in Wasatch County, Utah, and begins just north of the Wasatch Canal and Coyote Lane bridge structure (near an existing pump station). The work ends at the existing concrete canal lining in the Valley Hills Subdivision near the existing Creamery Ditch Overflow structure. COMPLETION OF WORK: Work under this contract will begin on or before the tenth day after receiving written Notice to Proceed from the Owner. The work must be fully completed by Friday, April 11, 2014. OPENING OF BIDS: The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 27, 2012. Any bid received from a bidder who is not qualified or received after the closing time for receipt of bids will be returned unopened.
