Annexation Public Notice for Public Hearing NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that the South Jordan City Council adopted a resolution on August 6, 2013 indicating its intent to annex two contiguous, unincorporated, islands, commonly referred to as parcel numbers 26-12-400-006-0000 (97.18 acres) and 26-12-253-001-0000 (1.22 acres), in to South Jordan City. A public hearing will be held on the proposed annexation on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers at South Jordan City Hall located at 1600 W. Towne Center Drive, South Jordan, Utah. Legal Description: PARCEL # 26-12-400-006-0000 BEG 35.50 FT N & 990 FT W FR SE COR SEC. 12, T 3S, R 2W, SL MER, N 2604.50 FT M OR L; W 1650 FT M OR L; S 2604.50 FT M OR L; E 1650 F M OR L TO BEG. 97.18 AC M OR L Dated 07/15/2013. PARCEL # 26-12-253-001-0000 COM AT SW COR OF NE 1/4 SEC 12, T 3S, R 2W, SL MER, S 890 53' 55" E 50 FT; N 00 31' 20" E 1079.56 FT; S 560 58' W 60 FT; S 00 31' 20" W 1046.76 FT TO BEG 1.22 AC Dated 07/15/2013 The City Council will annex the area unless written protests to the annexation are presented at the public hearing, or are filed by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing with the South Jordan City Recorder at South Jordan City Hall, Second Floor, 1600 W. Towne Center Drive, South Jordan, Utah, by owners of private real property, which is (A) located within the area to be annexed; (B) covers a majority of the total private land area within the entire area proposed for annexation; and (C) is equal in value to at least 1/2 the value of all private real property within the entire area proposed for annexation. The areas under consideration for annexation are comprised of two contiguous, unincorporated, islands totaling 98.4 acres.
