COMMENTS ARE INVITED ON PROPOSED RULE WATER QUALITY CERTIFICATION AND PROPOSED CHANGES FOR DEFINITIONS AND STANDARDS OF QUALITY FOR WATERS OF THE STATE, R317-1-1, R317-2, and R317-15 UTAH ADMINISTRATIVE CODE The Utah Water Quality Board is considering amendments to water quality rules. A new section, R317-15, is proposed to help clarify procedures for issuing Clean Water Act Section 401 water quality certifications. Proposed revisions to standards include a new section, R317-2-7.3, Biological Water Quality Assessment and Criteria, and associated revisions to R317-2-7.1 and R317-2-7.2. R317-2-3 was revised to delete 401 requirements to avoid redundancy with the new rules in R317-15. Finally, the proposed amendment changes the name Burriston Creek in R317-2-13.5.c. to Currant Creek.
